This week, we’re answering two questions in one: Amanda asks, “What’s the best workout to tone my belly and arms?”, and Rebecca asked, “What’s a great workout for my love handles?” This answers both:
Love handles are the result of excess fat around the obliques. Unfortunately, this is a common ailment. It is important to remember that there is no such thing as spot reduction. Fatty acids are burned as fuel on an as needed basis. If your caloric output exceeds the caloric energy you ingest, then fat loss from everywhere is inevitable. Incorporate twisting movements to your abdominal routine, while following a reduced calorie diet. Add focus and patience to that recipe and your love handles will fade away!
